Join the Library Staff as we participate one of the fastest growing hobbies – KNITTING. The knitting movement has people of all ages, especially young adults, moms and daughters, seniors, friends, etc. gather in an organized group and getting their creative knit on. Coffee and tea will be provided and pattern books are available to borrow. Pre-registration is appreciated, and there is no charge for these gatherings. Knitters of all levels – beginner to expert - are invited to come and “Be a Stitch!

My Money and Me -PART 4 of 4: Manage Your Future Now

The only way to deal with the future is to put yourself in a space where you are functioning effectively now. Be aware, be informed, and be adaptive. Failing to do so may be life altering. In this concluding session of the series you’ll learn the importance of differentiating between your assumptions about the markets and the future and what you actually know, can act upon and control. An example action plan for getting control will be outlined along with W.I.S.E. tips on how to avoid investment fraud and scams. You’ll also learn an example step-by-step sequence for making better investment-related decisions with your money. Asset allocation and diversification examples based upon ‘real world’ goals will also be studied.

Nature�s Path to a Beautiful Garden

Visualize your garden as the new frontier... Why is so important that we foster native plants, improve soil structure and recycle litter (leaf, plant material etc.)? How can your garden make a difference? Become conscious of your surroundings as you discover the importance of native plants. In the natural world, forests are organized groupings of trees, plants, and insects. Your choices can shape the future of your corner of this exciting new world. The numbers of native plants that we can choose from are astounding. Did you know there are over 17,000 native plants in the United States alone? No matter what country you call home, we all have the capability to create endless boundaries. Join Michael Saint for his newest lecture and take the first step on your eightfold path, creating a garden where plants not only serve the eye for beauty but also are functional and help keep our wildlife, insects, and native plant community thriving for future generations.

Laverne and Shirley, Happy Days, the Odd Couple. If these TV shows don't ring a bell, then you missed out on some good stuff. If you are right there with me and loved these shows, you are in luck. Mark Rothman, the writer behind these shows, will be at the library to talk about his years of writing classic sitcom televisions shows. Copies of his book, I’m Not Garbo, will be available after the presentation for purchase.
