Detroit Institute of Arts presents “30 Americans”

 The DIA will present highlights from its latest special
exhibit. “30 Americans” is a dynamic showcase of contemporary
art by African American artists. The exhibition
looks at issues of racial, political, historical and gender
identity in contemporary culture through more than 70
paintings, sculptures, installations, and photographs.
Among the numerous artists represented are Kerry
James Marshall, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Kara Walker.
